Accreditation for the school is granted by the State of Maryland Dept of Education, with licensing by the Office of Child Care. Kindergarten is fully accredited with basic, supplemental, and enrichment Math and Language Arts. Kindergarten concentrates on developing the whole child with many hands-on experiences. The Pre-K programs also use many hands-on experiences/activities and enrichment curriculum materials to develop self-confidence and prepare them for the academics of Kindergarten.
Half Day Programs
Our 1/2 day programs are taught by outstanding early education teachers and assistants who provide a balance between individual freedom and daily routines/guidance. Our teachers encourage creative self-expression, development of self-confidence, and constructive self-discipline. In a typical program, a child can experience free-choice play with a variety of materials/equipment joined with small group projects and activities. Stories, snack, music and the learning circle bring the group together. Many activites go on simultaneously where the teachers help, encourage, supervise and join the fun.
