Mrs. Kate Howells

Assistant Teacher - T/Th 3's a.m. Class

Hometown: Hershey, Pennsylvania
My first job: Waitress at Chocolate World
Years at Weems: 1
Mantra: Choose kindness and laugh often.
Why Weems: As a huge proponent of play-based learning, Weems was a perfect fit for me! Learning through play is essential in the social/emotional development of children and gives them the ability to problem solve, work as a team, respect others' opinions.  As a former first grade teacher, I can assure you these early skills are often missed, as preschools start academic rigor early on, which is often not developmentally appropriate for these children. In order for children to succeed in their future years of school, these fundamental skills learned through play-based learning are a must.
